New Pavilion Underway at the Rock Bar and Grill

Those at the Rock Bar and Grill, 101 Maple Ave., are expecting many happy occasions to take place in its new pavilion.

The pavilion, which can hold up to 140 people, is under construction and will be open for rental next spring, according to General Manager Jon Pingel and Event Coordinator Amy Keith.

Situated north of the restaurant, the pavilion will replace the tent outside and the aging pavilion which has been on the property prior to the The Rock opening.

Gilbank Construction broke ground on June 11, with the pavilion expected to be completed this fall. Next spring, it will be available to rent. It will include a bar and stage area as well as pergola covered in flowers and lights.

“It will be a great gathering spot along the river with food catered by us,” Pingel said.

Keith said it will be an ideal spot for a wedding with river views as the backdrop.

The Rock has been home to many outdoor events, benefits, class and family reunions, wedding rehearsals and receptions, graduation parties and more over the years. Customers enjoy the picturesque view of the river, quality staff and community-minded owners of the business.

“Bill Lock and Jim Agate have been very generous donating their time and efforts to the community,” Pingel said.

The Rock continues to get boat traffic from its public dock outside as well as increasing numbers of customers.

“Last year was a record setting year sales wise, and we are comfortably ahead of the pace this year,” Pingel said.

Pingel said the Rock goes out of its way to hire the right people and it’s paid off with almost no turnover. The talented Chef Joe Bradbury and his kitchen team also help the restaurant be successful.

“We are very family oriented. When I hire somebody, I welcome them to the family. I explain to them in orientation that guests are also family and need to be made welcome. In turn we’ve had a lot of a graduation parties and class and family reunions because of the good service,” Pingel said.

We have updated our seasonal specials menu with some new items for summer including our LIMITED TIME TURKEY BURGERS: All of our savory turkey burgers are served on a fresh bakery bun. Choose from three different styles.

The cost per team is $100, which must be paid in full when you turn in your registration form. This form is due no later than May 15th, 2018. Management and bartenders will take your payment and initial that it has been received. Payment may be either; cash, check, or credit card.

The Official Team Roster is due before your first game. You must have at least 6 players on your roster when it is turned in, you may have up to 12 players on your official roster. The “Waiver and Release” form must be signed by all players before they may play. This is due before the first game.

All rosters and forms will be kept in a binder behind the bar. If you need to add a player or have a player sign a form you must ask one of the staff to assist you. ALL PLAYERS MUST BE ON THE
