1st Annual Tanner Kitelinger Memorial Fund Event
June 9, 2018 @ 12:00 pm - June 10, 2018 @ 2:00 am
On June 09, 2017, the world lost a kind, selfless, and amazing friend to many and son, when Tanner James Kitelinger succumbed to complications of a medical issue at the age of 27. During his 27 years on this earth, Tanner accomplished what many could not imagine in a lifetime. Tanner was a 2008 graduate of Beloit Memorial High School, where he went on to obtain his bachelor’s degree in business at the University of Whitewater. Tanner soon realized he wanted to fulfill his lifelong dream of becoming a police officer. This was the perfect career choice for Tanner, as he had a strong passion for helping others. Tanner enrolled in the Blackhawk Technical College Law Enforcement Basic Recruit Academy, and after graduating, was honored to call himself a Burlington Police Officer. Two short years later, Tanner became Burlington Police Department’s K-9 Officer, and went through an extensive training with his new partner, Zander. Unfortunately, Tanner and Zander’s time was cut way too short, but Zander stayed a Burlington Police Officer with a new partner. We know Tanner is watching over them, and smiling knowing Zander could carry out his career with the department.
Although Tanner may not be here with us physically, his family and friends are indebted to filling out his lifelong passion of helping others. Tanner felt strongly about his profession as Burlington Police Department’s K-9 Officer. Tanner also never missed an opportunity to support the Special Olympics.
Please join us and help us celebrate Tanner’s life. All proceeds acquired from this event will go to the Burlington Police Department’s K-9 Program and the Special Olympics.
Let’s make Tan-Man proud. #BurlingtonPoliceK9 #SpecialOlympics
